The XTAR BC8 is intelligent on a per battery basis and what this means is that it can independently charge 1,2 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 batteries at a time and can also charge AA and AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries simultaneously.

Although not spcifically a fast charger, the microprocessor controlled BC8 efficiently charges and monitors individual batteries and is therefore perfect for use with any good quality AA or AAA rechargeable battery brand including the excellent eneloop Pro AA batteries.

The charging progress is controlled by a clever XTAR microcontroller which continuously checks the voltage and temperature of the batteries and automatically adjusts the charging process for optimal efficiency and precisiely controls the charging process on a per battery basis. The charger is extremely straightforward to operate. When Charrging is in progress the corresponding slot LED lights Red and turns back to green when charging is complete

As you'd expect from an XTAR charger, the BC8 is protected in every possible way and includes over voltage and over current protection, short circuit and over charging protection as well as thermal and overload protection.

The characteristic cutout under the battery slots has a positive effect on the temperature of the batteries during charging and the increased airflow gratly improves cooling due to natural thermal disipation and also makes it much easier to remove individual batteries. This is a very hand NiMH battery charger and easy to travel with due to its light weight and the benefit of USB chgarging and no pesky power supplies to lose which simplifies matters quite nicely.

This is a modern USB C powered battery charger with built-in QC 3.0 charge controller and can be connected to any suitable USB power source such as a mobile phone or laptop charger (min 2A recommended). Please note that there is NO power supply included.
