The new improved 'next generation' of ready to use rechargeable AA battery is still called Sanyo eneloop but this new battery wears the 'crown' and should not be confused with standard eneloop batteries. These new batteries can now be recharged up to 1500 times and retain 85% of their charge for up to 12 months and 75% of their charge for up to 3 years. They have a typical capacity of 1900mAh and the new part number is HR-3UTGA-4BP.
